It’s crazy to think that we are already in August and we’ve been getting a bunch of stuff in from multiple brands to be prepared for September. Aside from the shoes we have had some really great progress on the new store being built. We expect that if everything goes well and there are no major building delays we should be done by October or November. To make things less hectic we are going to stay in the current location (54 Brock Street W) until January/February with more info as we get closer. Back to topic, I’m going to outline each brand and what we got (when things slow down a bit I will do brand specific posts like I have in the past.)

Here’s what came in:

New Balance – We got in our Adults Running shoes like the 880v15, 860v15 (both Retail for $190+HST at time of writing) and 1080v15 (retails at $220+HST at time of writing.) We also tried out some of the more lifestyle options like the 603 (retails $140+HST at time of writing) and the 327 (Retails at $130+HST at time of writing and my mom has a pair and loves them for both the style and comfort.) We did also get some kids options but I did a post about them when they came in.

Birkenstock – We’ve resolved our Arizona Deficit (we got Arizona’s in Dark Brown, Black and Habana for those who need! 150+HST for Black and Brown and $190+HST for the Habana) We also have got some cool options for the fall with some Boston’s in a neutral but colourful purple and blue suede ($190+HST at time of writing.) We also got the new Amsterdam Wrapped (retail $180+HST at time of writing.) in Taupe suede which gives us a nice slipper or going out fall shoe. Finally, for now we have gotten more of the Bend shoe (Retail $200+HST at time of writing) which gives us an excellent arch support and a great leather casual shoe that is on-point looks-wise. We will have some more stuff still later in the season but are really excited to see what Birkenstock is bringing out.

Brooks – Small shipment for now, but we got some more Ghosts 18 and Adrenalines 25 GTS (Retail $180+HST at time of writing.) Still fairly traditional in terms of midsole thickness and density but like every brand the running shoes are either thick soled or the soles are slowly getting thicker.

Hoka – First things first we got the brand new Clifton 11 (Retail $185+HST at time of writing which is a $5 increase from the version 11.) In essence the 11 is a great refresh of the version 11 and the aesthetics are different in a way that people will like as they are now putting more colour through the midsole which makes it look a bit less thick while still maintaining the great cushion that the Clifton 10 had. We also got more of the Bondi 9 (retail $200+HST at time of writing) which has been an amazing shoe for us and gives us a chance to change up the colours. Finally we’ve got in the Gaviota 6 (Retail $200+HST at time of writing) which is a great stability shoe that has a similar amount of cushion as the Bondi but more stability for Pronators or Overpronators. Finally we are trying the kids Hoka in laces to start. The styles included are the Big Kids Clifton 10 ($130+GST at time of writing) and Big Kids Mach 7 ($120+GST at time of writing.) We’re really happy with what Hoka has brought to the table and look forward to what their future will bring.

That’s wraps for now, I expect that within the next month or so we should have a fair bit more stuff to show but depending on how busy the next couple of weeks are I may not be able to post an update about them right away.
