New BRands: Vessi, Redland, ComfortFusse
As I mentioned from the previous post (yesterday at time of writing) alongside all the new shoes from companies we usually carry we have also brought in some new brands (outlined below)
Vessi – Vessi is a shoe brand that focuses on waterproof footwear and is designed right in BC (not made in BC or Canada but also not made in the states so we will take what we get.) We focused on their main shoe the weekender which is a great casual/travel shoe that is waterproof and has a nice removable arch-support insole. There is also the Neo version which is lighter-weight comes in half-sizes and just again a great little go-getter.
Redland – Redland is another neat brand for us as it gives us a newer hiking line designed right in PEI (again not made in Canada but in Italy which I’m still happy with that!) All their footwear is really well thought out, great Vibram soles, a nice rubber/leather patch to cover the toe for all sorts of wear and tear and some neat designs for lacing the shoe/boot. Redland does also make CSA boots and rubber boots as well but we started just with their hiking footwear and will go from there!
Comfortfusse – Last but not least is Comfortfusse which is a neat slipper company that makes a great wool based slipper (with a back or without) that has a removable cork-based insole that has great arch-support. They also have a thinner rubber sole which is nice for traction and also great for going up and down stairs. Overall it gives us a neat option for slippers that have good arch support.
