FW25 – Blundstone
At the time of writing it is definitely feeling like fall outside, the temperature is dropping the leaves are slowly starting to turn more yellow/red and I think it is starting to be time to think about boots. That being said we did get in some excellent boots from Blundstone which do give a versatile and comfortable option for the fall, winter and spring (some people do also wear Blundstones in the summer so it can be used year round.) For people who haven’t had Blundstone what you get is a fairly water resistant leather boot that both looks nice and feels nice (it does have a bit of break-in but is overall comfortable.) They also do offer options for winter specific that are fully waterproof while maintaining the easier to slip on Chelsea style.
Here’s what came in:
2446 (Unisex) – The 2446 was introduced last fall and what’s cool about it is the boot is the same foundation (classic series) as the other boots but the colour is a bit more refined than just the usual black or brown. The colour is Clay and what I also like about it is the colour is more uniform and vary less from pair to pair.
2055 (Unisex) – The 2055 is one of the boots in the All-Terrain collection. What’s neat about the boot is that it comes with an upgraded insole and a special vibram sole which gives more cushion and I find the arch-support is nicer (the heel-cup also feels a bit more secure than the classic series just from my personal experience.) The 2055 also refers to the Rustic Brown which is overall our best seller for colour which is easy to maintain and works for either dress or casual. Speaking of which I found that the sole from a side-profile does look a bit cleaner/dressier.
2130 (Unisex but we only brought in women’s sizing): The 2130 is another boot in the classic series but I find that it gives a fun colour for people who want something a bit away from neutral. The Auburn in person is a nice toned red (not too bright, not too dull.) Either way the pictures should show it well but as always the colour does present nicer in person.
1325 (Kids): For kids we usually try to bring in two different colours, rustic brown and rustic black (the 1325 is rustic black.) What’s great about either colour especially for kids is that they are very low-maintenance and don’t require any polishing. The main thing with the Rustics are just to wipe them down with a damp cloth if going through enough mud or salt in the winter (goes for the kids or the adult version.)
Overall, we are happy to keep going with Blundstone since they just seem to give an option that is great for our weather. I do want to note that certain styles are only available seasonally (pretty much everything we book in advance) and the more traditional colours are for us available to order if we don’t have the size at anytime (i.e. Rustic Brown, Rustic Black, Stout Brown, Safety, etc…)
