Brooks Spring 2025 Part 2
Well, it’s April and it still feels like Winter. But, there is still always a use for running shoes! Regardless we got our second hit of Brooks running shoes, I put the product pictures below for those who want to see the colours and styles (and for those who don’t care about the spiel for the shoes.) We can still special order other colours/styles but will not be having any new shipments until the fall (also moving forward I think per season and brand I will do one post and update as we get new shipments.)
Otherwise here is what we got (both men’s and women’s unless specified):
Ghost 16: We’ve had the ghost 16 since fall but have brought in new colours, the ghost 16 is a nice neutral/cushion shoe that helps correct supination (when you turn out) while still being a bit more traditional (not as thick in the sole.)
Adrenaline 24 GTS: Same as the ghost 16, we’ve had the adrenaline version 24 since the fall. The 24 overall has been a good update as it makes the sole a bit softer while still being dense and strong for long-term wear. The GTS is a system for medial support (preventing pronation or when you tend to turn in) and does a great job at supporting the arch.
Ghost 16-GTX: Deja Vu? Maybe, but we got the ghost 16 also with a Gore-Tex lining which makes it water-proof while being very lightweight and breathable.
Adrenaline 23 GTS-GTX: We also got the GTX version of the Adrenaline (they haven’t done the GTX in the Adrenaline in the version 24 yet but will in Fall 2025.)
Beast/Ariel 24 GTS: We’ve had both Beast and Ariel in the past and have continued forward with it. The Beast and Ariel are the same shoe just different names for the gender (Beast = Men’s, Ariel = Women’s.) In the store I wear the Beast since it gives the strongest support and feels like some of the really good traditional shoes while being nicely cushioned (like the 940 from NB, Hurricane from Saucony.) Overall the Ariel/Beast is a great shoe for walking or working!
Glycerin 22 GTS: The Glycerin is Brooks higher-end shoe and has the softest cushion out of all of the shoes (generally the newest tech will go here first and will go to the Ghost and Adrenaline afterwards.) For the 22′ The Glycerin has been upgraded with their new DNA loft-tuned midsole which still uses nitrogen but has been tweaked to be slightly denser (more structure and durability.) I did get a pair for outside of the store and found it very comfortable. Overall, I like the new Glycerin and it definitely leans towards the thicker sole route while still feeling more traditional.
